In February, Sauk Columbia SHRM was pleased to welcome SHRM’s very own Shelly Trent. Shelly spoke on Workplace Flexibility, as well as updated everyone on the latest and greatest with SHRM certification, scholarship opportunities, and upcoming conferences.
On March 9, Jennifer Mirus, attorney at Boardman Clark joined our chapter to host an FMLA workshop. Only she can make that topic fun! Thanks to everyone who came out to support Sauk Columbia SHRM.
From a social perspective, we held a successful “Restock the Shelves Food Drive” in January, and this year the donations went to the Baraboo Food Pantry. Each year we rotate between our communities. In April, we have an upcoming social planned at Gem City Saloon in Baraboo where we will enjoy drinks, pizza, and networking with our members. In May we will once again give out three $500 scholarships to local school districts. Our scholarship committee is currently reviewing applications for the 2016 winners of the SC SHRM scholarships.
