Sauk Columbia SHRM Chapter Remains Active and Gives Back

The Sauk Columbia SHRM chapter has had well attended meetings so far this year. Our monthly meetings have covered a wide variety of topics including: employment law updates, health care reform updates, advanced linked in, generation differences, and FMLA. Our chapter has also worked with our local Boys and Girls Club in Baraboo on a mentorship program. We are working with their staff to provide them with Human Resources related material and education on topics including OSHA. In addition, our chapter collected food and cash donations to restock the food pantry shelves. This year we donated the food to the Reedsburg food pantry.

Our chapter board of directors is busy working on a variety of upcoming events for our chapter this spring and summer. We are planning a golf outing, social networking event, and a one day seminar training. Our chapter has recently collected applications for our annual scholarships for high school students. This year we will be giving away four $500 scholarships compared to the three we gave away last year. We look forward to announcing the lucky recipients.
