Ignite the Leader Within With Central Wisconsin SHRM

Central Wisconsin SHRM partners with the United Way of Marathon County Emerging Leaders to present a networking event that features speaker Kim Lear. Kim oversees the social media strategy for BridgeWorks, LLC and is a regular contributor to a variety of business publications. As a researcher, Kim identifies and documents the latest generational trends shaping how all of us live, work, and play. She recently helped launch BridgeWorks’ global research initiative to identify ways in which generations of workers are evolving in key markets overseas.

Kim’s presentation entitled “Ignite the Leader Within – Spark Passion in People” helps teach businesses and organizations how to understand, attract and manage the wave of Millennials now entering the workforce. She also speaks to Millennials on how to more effectively navigate a multigenerational workplace, benefiting both their careers, and their bosses. Her presentation includes:
• Creating a culture that enables generations to thrive
• Developing synergistic relationships
• Communicating effectively with all four generations
• Succession planning and managing change
• Idea Implementation
• Developing habits of a leader and taking action
• Finding your passion and knowing how to use it

The event will be held on September 27, 2012 at the fabulous Grand Theater in the heart of Wausau, WI. And will run from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Following the presentation will be a networking reception with hors d’oeuvres and cash bar with music by the String Cheese Band. The cost to attend is $8.00 and is open to the public.
