ENERGIZE HR! What a better way to move into a new post-recession era than to infuse that energy into ourselves and our profession?
Here in Metro Milwaukee, we are pumped up about the annual spring conference we’re hosting on Thursday, April 26, 2012. With the theme “Energize HR!” our day will be overflowing with lively topics under the focus areas of Engage, Innovate, Collaborate, and Strategize. With over fifteen sessions to choose from, attendees will be immersed in a day of hands-on learning AND be eligible for HRCI recertification credits!
Our morning will begin with Keynote speaker Wendy Kamerling, Principal at Bridges Consulting, LLC, on “Becoming the Partner Your Organization Needs.” From there, attendees will diverge on their journey, exploring subject-matter that includes self-development, managing compensation in an improving economy, recruiting through technology, engaging ex-offenders in the workplace, and more.
We’ll gather for lunch and a second keynote speaker, Dr. Bob Nelson, author of “1001 Ways to Reward Employees,” will present on inspiring teamwork and collaboration at work. Our afternoon options will include speakers focused on engaging and recruiting top talent, diversity recruitment and regulations, maximizing employee productivity and synergy, and a special Master Series hosted by Dr. Bob Nelson discussing the Five Trends Shaping the Future of HR and Strategies for an Engaged Workforce.
The element we feel truly privileged to offer our HR population is a segment presented by the Department of Workforce Development called “Paths to Collaboration: A Dialogue Between Employers and Regulators.” This session will focus on creating an opportunity for candid discussion between the DWD and employers with those burning platform questions about employment regulations.
We’ve historically had a great turnout for this conference. Last year over 200 people joined in for an incredible day of learning and networking with local HR Professional peers.
