The View From….St. Croix Valley

Happy New Year! Most of us start this new year of 2012 with a resolve of one form or another. The new year is not about resolutions that we will not keep, but about recognizing that, each January, we are given an amazing opportunity to write a brand-new story for ourselves.

As we start a new year, it is time to re-focus and do what we do best and what we love. For many of us, the goals we set each year center around personal and professional growth. The St. Croix Valley Employers Association, your local SHRM Chapter recognizes that our members have set such goals for themselves and we are very committed to helping you grow professionally.

It is our goal, as an association, to provide you with the resources you need to take your career to new levels. We strive to provide you with tools and education that will help you become even more of a resource to your employer and employees.

Please continue to watch for the educational opportunities we have coming up on the horizon, including seminars on common HR Mistakes to avoid, ow HR professionals can use Social Media as a tool, and of course the annual Employment Law Clinic. It’s going to be a fantastic year for SCVEA!

Have FUN in your job and in your personal life and don’t forget to add humor into each and every day. May 2012 be your best year ever!

As always, I am thankful and honored for the opportunity to serve you through the SCVEA. Please, feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns or comments.
