Meet the 2011 WI SHRM Conference Committee – Sponsorship

Stacey Riechers

The 2011 WI SHRM State Conference will take place October 12-14 at the Monona Terrace in Madison, WI. State Conferences do not happen in a vaccum. They require a lot of commitment and hard work to put on the “big show.” This is one of an ongoing series highlighting the people behind the scenes as well as the positions they hold.

It would be wonderful if everyone could attend and enjoy the state conference for free. However, meals, materials, and conference space all cost money. Through sponsorships, WI SHRM is able to keep costs low, and still provide a meaningful conference experience for all. One of the Sponsorship Co-Chairs that makes this all possible is Stacey Riechers, owner at Express Employment Professionals in Madison, WI

1. Why did you want to become involved with the conference?

I started with the conference in 2005 to network and volunteer

2. What is your committee doing to make the 2011 WI SHRM State Conference special?

Sponsorships – helping SHRM supporters maximize their marketing efforts at the SHRM Conference

3. What has been the biggest challenge(s) in your role?

There are a lot of great Sponsors this year. As a volunteer, I want each Sponsor to know their value to the conference.

4. What are you most excited about for the conference?

It’s in Madison, WI – my town 🙂

5. Any final thoughts?

This is my last year (yes, I’ve said this before but this time it is true) on the WI SHRM Conference Planning Committee. Not only have I met a lot of really great people, but I networked and found my current business venture with Express Employment Professionals. If you have the time, consider volunteering on this Committee
